Dear all,

1stly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!!!!.

2ndly, Good effort to those who played in the NP open, Ben, Paul, Matthew, Joel, Justin & Nicholas. Though we did not make it far, at least we gained some experience, found another fluke king and made more friends. Thanks Daniel for coming down to support us also =).

3rdly, for those who are able to go for uncle philip's CNY 10-ball tournament please go.

4thly, During the month of Feb , March & April, Some Members of SP Pool Team may be coming over to SPGG. They are not joining our team nor are they there to find trouble. They are just there to train like you guys. So I wish that you all wont brush them aside & spar with them more often, new players, new experience for both sides. However please do not create trouble.

5thly, Thats not the big thing i was walking about =).

6thly, We are doing a compilation of breaks, trickshots, best shots, jump pots, break clears & kick pots. All those that qualify to be put into a video that can be shown at the CCA open house for the next semester intake. So that means if you are about to do a nice shot / break , please get someone with a nice quality video camera to video it down for u thx This way there can be a best shot award. $5 to 2 persons. cause sure got more than 1 nice shots one =) haha thanks.

LASTLY, Good Luck for all your Exams.

Nicholas.

SPGG Vs Moberly

I know this event turned out cock. Many People waited for their turns. But hope you all enjoyed your 3 matches. Would try to improve the planning better next time. However this friendly was a very close match. Neither team managed to make a big dash for the win but still it was a nerve wrecking friendly. Well done to both teams.

Final Results SPGG 89-85 Moberly? About there but i know the rack difference was not more than 5 games.

MVP Players: Daniel Lau And Chevy Lok
MVP Female: Jasmine Lim
MVP Team : Hong Wei & Nicholas. Siew Yuk Tat & Adenine Lwa

NP open 9-ball please go register and gain more experience for yourself. Dont be upset even though you lost / nearly lost to jasmine or even kena golden break like free.

CNY 10 Ball please register as well.

Please dis-regard all the rumours that SPGG and SP Pool team is going to merge. Until the discussions with each team and the school is done. I sincerely wish that you all would not let this affect you, so just go and train up in time for the SP Open.

I have no idea if Moberly or SPGG is going to organise it but I'm sure that each team would organise one tournament for the school.

Lastly, during the month of March & April, which is your school holidays, there is going to be something big that is also going to happen. What is it? That's for me to know and for you to wait and see.

Thank You very much
Nicholas.

Time : 1pm – 6pm

Each team to send 20 players

$10 / Person (Inclusive of Table time, Dinner & Prizes).

Dinner will be provided after the event.

We will be playing on all 6 tables Simultaneously.

We will be playing TOTAL RACKS SCORED in this friendly instead of the usual best of 20 Matches.

This would give each player more exposure to different opponents and experience gained.

All Categories are “round robin” format.

A Moberly player will not play against another Moberly player.

1 Moberly player will play against 6 SPGG players ( Singles) vice versa

1 Moberly Team will play against 4 SPGG Team (Doubles) vice versa

9 Ball Singles

6 Singles.

Race to 3 Games

Maximum racks able to be scored are 84 (6 Matches x 3 Racks x 6 Players) Racks after the whole event.

Girls have 1 rack handicap and 8-ball Handicap.

8 Ball Singles

6 Singles.

Race to 2 Games

Maximum racks to be scored are 72 (6 Matches x 2 Racks x 6 Players) Racks after the whole event.

Girls have 8-ball handicap

In the case of Stalemate, the player with the least balls on the table wins the rack.

8 Ball & 9 Ball Doubles

4 Doubles. ( Preferably 1 Mixed Doubles Team)

Race to 2 for 8 Ball

Race to 3 for 9 Ball

All 4 Doubles Team will play both 8 & 9 Ball.

Maximum racks able to be scored are 160 (8 Matches x 5 Racks x 4 Teams) Racks

Mixed Doubles Team will only have 8-ball handicap in both disciplines.

Scoring System

Maximum of 316 racks to be scored.

Therefore it would be a race to 159 Team racks.

For those who still don’t get it. Below is an example.

After 6 matches the result is

SPGG 3-2 Moberly

SPGG 2-3 Moberly

SPGG 3-1 Moberly

SPGG 1-3 Moberly

SPGG 0-3 Moberly

SPGG 3-0 Moberly

Therefore the final score is SPGG 12 – 12 Moberly.
